In order to sail a bareboat charter yacht, German citizens are required to have the Sportboot-Führerschein See license. Non German guests are asked to have equivalent licenses of their home-country. In some regions radio operating certificate is mandatory.
Please send us copies of all your licenses together with the signed contract.
The CHARTERER declares that he or the person responsible for sailing the ship possesses the neccessary sailing and radio experience plus adequate ability to sail yachts of lenghts up to 50 ft.
The CHARTERER obligates himself to keeping a logbook. Please note that not keeping a logbook or keeping an improper / incomplete logbook leads to the loss of insurance coverage. In such case, the CHARTERER is obliged to compensate the charter company for any damage, not covered by the insurance company. In this case it is not possible to assert any claims against the charter company.

Official Permits & liability insurance

This serves as a security deposit against losses or damage caused to the yacht, including furnishings and equipment. Damages caused by intent or negligence are excluded.
The CHARTERER must immediately, at the nearest port or via VHF or satellite phone, notify the charter company if any damage arose during the voyage.
Generally, all repairs will be carried out by the charter company. The CHARTERER commits himself to actively co-operate and participate in the processing of any damage cases (insurance). Especially in completing any written information and declarations. The CHARTERER is responsible for the total claim to the charter company, failing this, it will be his obligation to process any insurance claims.
The CHARTERER is held responsible for losses and damages to the yacht, including furnishing and equipment up to the amount of the deposit. On request we also offer a bailout insurance.
