There are
still a few remaining dream locations, where sailing
is pure fun. One of these is the Cape Verdian Islands.
The season is year round here, with ideal wind conditions
as well as Caribbean water and sun. Food is inexpensive.
There are no over crowded ports or beaches and the distances between the islands
- 15 all together (9 of which are inhabited) - is a maximum of 135 nautical miles.
Luzmar has experienced experts and skippers on location, to ensure that your
holiday both on water and land is revitalizing and an unforgettable experience.
We have new and excellently maintained Bavaria yachts. An own marina in Mindelo/St.
Vicente. Luzmar owns accommodation on SAL and St. Vicente.
Our yachts are spacious, well furnished and very comfortably equipped, both under
and on deck. Booking requests, confirmation and contract details, as well as
your pre-provisioning requirements are all processed by email.
Once you have checked the details of your reservation, we will require a pre-payment
to confirm and secure your booking. Details will be sent to you by email. From
this point on our Crew members and support staff are ready for you.
At your specified time of arrival, they will have your yacht ready for you with
a full tank of water and diesel. Everything else you need for the trip will be
on board.
All you need to do is select the type of yacht, the number of passengers sailing
and when you want to sail, and we take care of the rest. We pick you up at the
airport, bring your luggage on board, invite you for a meal in the best restaurant
in Mindelo and chat about the local people, the country, the yachts, and naturally,
your cruise.
In case you need additional details on routes, courses,
or tips, we will send everything to you in advance, including
sea chart excerpts. On request, we will bring a supply
of food of your choice on board against a provisions
fee.
We will send you an order form for this by email. Please keep in mind that all
basic food selections are available on Cap Verde, however no luxury items. Our
experience is that our sailing guests truly enjoy the excellent choices available.
The local fish and crabs are outstanding. There are also restaurants in most
ports that offer typical local meals.
What many seasoned sailors cannot imagine: sometimes it's nice to let yourself
be sailed by a crew. You may choose that option at Luzmar as well.
